Ever since Inbox by Gmail debuted a year and a half ago, Google has steadily been adding new features to its service. Today Inbox is gaining three more tricks.
Starting today, Inbox by Gmail will help you better keep track of upcoming events by grouping emails related to a single event together. The goal here is to help you easily see what’s changed with the event.
Also being added to Inbox is a quick newsletter preview. With this feature, you can see what the latest edition of a newsletter is and see a few of its article titles. If anything interests you, you can click through to open the newsletter. If not, the newsletter will minimize to save space.
Finally, Inbox is getting a link saver feature. You can use this feature to save links to Inbox for reading later on rather than cluttering up your inbox with a bunch of emails from yourself. All of your links will live in one place in your Inbox app. You can also use this feature on the web with the new Inbox by Gmail Chrome extension.
Inbox is a different experience than the regular Gmail app, and it’s good to see Google continue to improve Inbox for the folks that enjoy it over plain ol’ Gmail. This latest update shows that, and while there may not be any insane new features being added to Inbox today, Google is giving its email app some new goodies that’ll make life a bit better for Inbox users. If you count yourself as one of those people, keep an eye out for this Inbox update.
