If you’ve got a Sony SmartWatch 3 strapped to your wrist, then I’ve got some news that’s sure to make your week.
Google employee Wayne Piekarski has confirmed that the Sony SmartWatch 3 is now receiving its update to API 23, aka Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The update started rolling out today, April 5, and is expected to reach all users “within a week or so.” The update to Marshmallow brings new navigation gestures, the ability to send messages in more apps using your voice, and more.
Sony SmartWatch 3 owners that haven't yet received this update can try to check for it by going into Settings > About > System updates on the watch.
It may have taken a couple of months for this update to hit the Sony SmartWatch 3, but hey, at least it’s finally here. Once the update hits your SmartWatch 3, hit up this Google support page to learn how to use all of those nifty gestures that your watch just gained.
