Earlier today, I told you about how the rumors surrounding the HTC One X9’s spec list had been debunked by well-known HTC leaker LlabTooFeR. Now another leaker has come forward with what may be the real One X9 spec list.
Evan Blass today shared a handful of spec details for the One X9 (also known as HTC E56) that line up with the previous report claiming that the phone won’t have a flagship-tier feature set. According to Blass, the One X9 features a 5.5-inch 1920x1080 display as well as a 13-megapixel rear camera, 4-megapixel UltraPixel front-facing shooter, and 16GB of storage. Powering the One X9 will reportedly be a combination of 2GB of RAM, a 3000mAh battery, and a processor from the folks at MediaTek.
.@stagueve All wrong. E56 sports a Mediatek SoC & 5.5" FHD display. Memory is just 2GB/16GB, camera 13MP/4UP (OIS), w/ a 3000mAh battery.

Judging by that spec list, the One X9 will be a low-end to mid-range smartphone. That said, the X9’s rumored 3000mAh battery is pretty beefy and could give the X9 some nice battery life, and the leaked image that’s circulating makes it look like the X9 could have front-facing BoomSound speakers that were absent on the A9. Given those features, the X9 could still be worth a look, even if it’s not a crazy flagship like some reports suggested it might be.
The report from earlier today suggested that the HTC One X9 might launch in Q1 2016.
