HTC’s Mo Versi is often a good source of information about impending HTC updates, but today he’s switching gears and spilling some beans about Google’s next Android update.
According to Mo Versi, Google is planning to release a new Android “MR,” or maintenance release, in March. Versi’s statement was made in response to a question regarding a bug with the HTC One (M7) Google Play edition’s capacitive navigation buttons.
@JensEsbjerg It'll be tied to Google's next MR, which is in March. Thanks.

Since Versi didn’t give a version number or anything, it’s unclear exactly what Android update he’s talking about. We’ve seen Android 5.1 pop up a couple of times on Android One devices lately, though, and so it’s possible that next month could bring a more widespread release of Android 5.1.
The full changelog for Android 5.1 is still unknown, but the folks at Android Police recently found that the update brings the ability to change Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connections from your Quick Settings shade.
