RBC Capital Market sent out a note to investors about two future iPhones ? an entry-level handset (without 3G) and an upgraded 3G model. Rumor has it that these are the specs:

* Less than 2 MP camera
* 8 GB flash mem
* Dimensions: 4.5? x 2.4? x 0.48?

* AT&T, Rogers, O2, Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone
* Ships June/July ?09
Upgraded iPhone 3G
* $199/$299 (after $400 subsidy)
* UMTS/HSDPA, Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS
* Touchscreen: 3.5? (720 x 480)
* 2+ MP camera with video
* 16 GB mem, 32 GB flash
* Dimensions: 4.5? x 2.4? x <0.48?
* Unlimited data for $30/month
* AT&T, Rogers, O2, Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone

Though Apple denies that they?re exploring different price points, diehard Mac fans know to take that with a grain of salt. It's not the first time they've denied a story and then debuted the buzzed-about gadget mere months later.
But for now, it is just a rumor. Does the fact that financial analysts are the ones leaking it lend any more credibility to it? (Probably not. When it comes to gossip and speculation, they?re worse than the geek community.)
