What's up everybody, it's Noah from PhoneDog.com ... I'm here on Sunday night at Pepcom Digital Experience, the pre-CES press preview event where we're sure to see what all the big players in the mobile phone space have on tap to unveil at this week's convention. Jawbone is sponsoring free Wi-Fi and drinks before the event starts, so I'm sitting outside of the Augustus Ballroom at Caesar's Palace catching up on the pre-show news.
Sony Ericsson has already introduced three new handsets, including the W760 Walkman phone with GPS and a 3.2mp camera (along with the Z555 and W350 clamshells). HP has at least a pair of Windows Mobile smartphones on tap, several Nokia phones have already been leaked (and blogged about by yours truly) in the past few days, and there's lots of buzz about a possible Xohm-ready laptop from Asus and Sprint. That's not even mentioning the unlocked Venus look-alike from LG and whatever Motorola has in store for us at their press conference later this evening.
Meantime I had a chance to hit the craps tables already and am looking forward to two solid days of handsets, gadgets, and all the glitz and glamour that is Las Vegas. Check back early and often with PhoneDog.com to get the latest on mobile industry happenings from CES 2008.
