Looks like the curtain has fallen on troubled MVNO Amp'd Mobile at last - at least in the US. Even Amp'd President Bill "I Will Crush Everyone Else in on this Conference Panel Discussion" Stone couldn't save Amp'd from a balance sheet reportedly listing some $100 million in debts owed and mere $9,000 in the bank, and the company has suspended customer service operations and started giving employees a final week of paid leave to look for another job.
Amp'd's website currently states the company "is potentially suspending US operations on July 31st," and is in discussions to sell its assets or be bought outright. Have an Amp'd handset? It can possibly still be used on Sprint or Verizon, so check with them before tossing it off to the recycling bin.
