I’m a sucker for Easter eggs, which is why it’s always exciting to see what kind of secret goodies that Google has crammed into new versions of Android. Motorola has been getting into the Easter egg action with its custom boot animations lately, too, and now HTC is joining the fun as well.

Reddit user gaddoor has discovered that the HTC Dot View case has two Easter eggs to celebrate Halloween. Waking up the Dot View case will present the user with a Jack-o-Lantern, and plugging the phone in will bring up a skeleton that’s surrounded by bats.

Obviously neither of these Easter eggs will make a difference in the way that One (M8) owners use their phones, but they’re still nice touches that show HTC’s attention to detail. Little things like this are fun for users and get them more invested in a certain company, and so it’s great to see HTC having some fun.
