HTC has said that it’ll update the One (M8) and One (M7) to Android 5.0 within 90 days of Lollipop’s code release. The question is, what will HTC’s Sense user interface look like when combined with Android 5.0? Today we may have figured that out.
Well-known HTC leaker @LlabTooFeR has released a handful of screenshots that are said to show Android 5.0 and HTC Sense 6.0 running on an HTC One (M8). From what we can see, the combo looks like the HTC Sense UI that we’ve come to know on the One (M8), but with Android 5.0 additions like lock screen notifications and a tweaked Recent Apps/Overview feature.
There’s still quite a bit of time before HTC’s self-imposed 90-day deadline for this Android 5.0 update expires, and so it’s possible that the final update could look a bit different than the one that we’re seeing today. That said, I wouldn’t be surprised if the final update looked a lot like the one we’re seeing today, as it seems like a nice mix of Android 5.0 features and HTC’s custom user interface.
What do you think of this Android 5.0 and HTC Sense 6.0 update?
