The phablet space has been heating up for quite some time. The age of owning tablet-sized smartphones is now upon us, and Samsung has been dominating the market with its Galaxy Note line for the past two and a half years. Now Oppo, a Chinese manufacturer that has exploded in popularity recently, has a device to challenge Samsung with: The Oppo N1, a phone with a tank-like construction, rotating 13-megapixel camera and yes...CyanogenMod!
These two devices compete in all aspects of size, performance, hardware and price. However, the functionality of the two are very different. The Note 3 utilizes an S Pen stylus and custom TouchWiz software, while the Oppo N1 pushes users to download CyanogenMod and customize the heck out of their phone.
