If you want a device that's a little more pocket-friendly than the Galaxy S 4, Note 3 and Oppo N1, then you're likely to look at either an iPhone or one of the multiple "mini" smartphones that've hit the market recently! However, a new small phone has been dominating the news over the past couple of weeks: the new Moto G, a cheaper version of the popular Moto X with no compromises from the surface. Does the Moto G have enough to beat something like the Galaxy S4 mini?
If you look at the raw specs, Moto G will walk all over the S4 mini. It has two more cores, a larger and more pixel-dense display and it costs a bit less than the S4 mini. The S4 mini has decent specs, but it's made out of cheap, fingerprint-loving plastic; the plastic used on the Moto G feels more high quality.
The S4 mini is definitely smaller than the Moto G in every way, but the software differences between the two are also very important. Having the latest software is a big deal for a lot of people, and the Moto G is running Android 4.4 KitKat while the S4 Mini is a couple of versions back on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. I guess that's what happens when Google buys you out!
