Day 2 of the 30 day challenge with the LG Nexus 5! For $350 unlocked and without a contract, the Nexus 5 competes with the best from HTC, Samsung, Motorola, and Apple. The phone's 5-inch, 1080p HD display feels great and the overall ergonomics of the device are quite nice. It fits well in the hand and is pocketable, but offers a large enough display for content consumption - browsing the web, checking out YouTube, viewing pictures, and the like. I haven't spent enough time with it just yet to get a real feel for battery life based on my personal usage - stay tuned for those numbers.
To recap, the Nexus 5 offers a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU, 4.95-inch 1080p HD display, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, 2,300 mAh battery, 4G LTE connectivity, and Android 4.4 KitKat. It's being updated as we speak to Android 4.4.1, and it'll be reviewed in full during the challenge. All in all, the phone brings a lot to the table - and the price tag is fantastic.
