Thought the DROID name was reserved for Verizon's Android phones? Think again! The nation's largest wireless carrier is bringing it to the tablets with the Motorola DROID XYBOARD 8.2, and Aaron's review unit arrived today. Available now at Verizon (along with a XYBOARD 10.1 model), the XYBOARD 8.2 packs a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 8.2-inch display, 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing shooter, 1 GB RAM, a 3,960 mAh battery, 4G LTE connectivity, and Android 3.2 (Honeycomb) with some Motorola customizations. The DROID XYBOARD 8.2 is on the pricey side, at $429.99 for the 16 GB and $529.99 for the 32 GB model. The kicker? Those prices are with a two-year agreement. Is it worth it?
