The tablet madness continues as Aaron takes a first look at the Wi-Fi-only version of the HTC Flyer. Shown off at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the Flyer offers a 1.5 GHz processor, 7-inch display, 16 GB of internal memory with a microSD card slot for expansion, 5-megapixel rear camera (without flash), 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, and Android 2.3 with HTC Sense 3.0. It'll be available from Best Buy starting on May 22, 2011 for $499.99.
While it is a bit behind considering that the other high-end tablets are running Android 3.0 (Honeycomb), HTC makes up for it with an awesome application called HTC Scribe. With the pen accessory (which costs $80 and is not included with the tablet), the user can take notes, write on device screenshots, and more. While the HTC Scribe technology is a nice feature, will the lack of Honeycomb deter buyers?
