Now we know when the Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and Nexus Player will begin shipping out to consumers. But what about Android 5.0 Lollipop, the software that powers all three? Now we know when that’ll arrive, too.
Google has sent out a note to Android developers, urging them to get their apps ready for Android 5.0 Lollipop. El Goog says that devs can now publish their Android 5.0 apps to Google Play, and the company says that devs should do so and test their apps out before Lollipop is released to consumers on November 3.
Google has already said that the Nexus 9 and Nexus Player will launch on November 3, so it’s no surprise that that’s the launch date for Android 5.0 as well. Now that Google has confirmed the news, though, it means that owners of some existing Nexus could get a taste of Lollipop on that date too. Time to start honing those Flappy Bird skills!
