Just a couple of weeks after Sony took the wraps off of its new hotness, the Xperia Z3, the company has given its old flagship a healthy price cut in the US.
Sony is now selling the unlocked Xperia Z2 for $579.99 in the US. That’s quite a drop from the $749.99 asking price that the unlocked Z2 commanded in mid-July. As a quick refresher, here’s what you’ll get in return should you decide to give Sony $580 for a Z2:
While the Xperia Z2 may no longer be the king of Sony’s Xperia hill, it’s still got a pretty nice spec sheet thanks to the fact that Sony likes to refresh its flagship hardware every six months or so. If this price cut has you thinking about snagging a Z2, it’s worth noting that the device should play nicely with both AT&T and T-Mobile in the US.
I’ve also embedded our video review of the Xperia Z2 for those of you that are still on the fence about making a purchase.
