Earlier this month, a leaked image claimed to give us our first peek at the LG G3 S, a device that may be a mini version of the LG G3. The leaked render didn’t show much detail because it was just an outline of the device, and that’s kind of a bummer for us smartphone addicts. We’re getting more detail on the LG G3 S today, though, thanks to a Russian retailer product page.
Russian outlet Svyaznoy has posted what may be a product page for the LG G3 S, complete with full color images and specs. Unsurprisingly, the LG G3 S looks largely similar to the flagship LG G3, complete with a silver chin and rear-mounted buttons. Things are a bit different when we turn to specs, though. The LG G3 S is said to include:
If those specs hold true, then it looks like the LG G3 S won’t break from the trend that sees most “mini” devices given a severe spec drop from their flagship siblings. While the LG G3 S may not be a bad device, especially if it’s price appropriately, there’s no question that it’s a far cry from the LG G3 and its 5.5-inch 2560x1440 display and 13-megapixel camera.
Speaking of price, the LG G3 S is listed with a price of RUB 13,990, which is approximately $406 USD or €300 EUR. That seems reasonable, but even if that price is accurate, it’s still kind of a bummer that the LG G3 S may not offer any of the G3’s high-end specs in a smaller package.
