Last month, the HTC One (M8) hit the virtual shelves of the Play Store as the newest member of the Google Play edition family. That device is sold out as of this writing, but the good news is that Google’s got a deal on another GPe device that you may be interested in picking up instead.
The Sony Z Ultra Google Play edition is now available for $449, which is a full $200 off of its regular $649 price tag, and it also comes with free ground shipping. The Z Ultra GPe is in stock and ready to ship in 1-2 business days.
Launched late last year, the Sony Z Ultra Google Play edition features a 6.4-inch 1080p display, 2.2GHz quad-core processor, 16GB storage, microSD slot and 4G LTE connectivity. Just as with the other GPe devices, it’s also rocking a vanilla version of Android, getting updated to version 4.4.2 KitKat shortly after its launch.
The Sony Z Ultra is one of the largest smartphones currently available, and its size may be a bit of a turn-off for some. If you count yourself as a phablet fan, though, this seems like a pretty sweet deal for a big phone that’s running the latest version of Android.
Are any of you thinking about springing for a Sony Z Ultra Google Play edition?
