The LG G2 has already been bumped up to Android 4.4 on AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile in 2013, and now it’s Verizon’s turn to treat its G2-toting customers to some KitKat goodness.
Verizon today posted the official Android 4.4.2 changelog for its version of the LG G2. The update bumps the Verizon G2 up to software version VS98024A and includes the following tweaks:
KEY ENHANCEMENTS
ACCESSIBILITY
LOCATION
INDICATOR BAR
IMPROVED VISUAL VOICE MAIL
LG has previously shown that the G2’s KitKat update should bring battery and performance improvements, so this is definitely an update that you Verizon G2 owners want to snag ASAP. There’s been no official announcements from Verizon regarding the rollout, but you can always check for it manually by heading into Menu > Settings > About phone > Software updates > Check for Updates.
UPDATE: Verizon has confirmed that the LG G2’s update to Android 4.4.2 is rolling out in phases starting today.
