Remember that refreshed Gmail app for Android that leaked out earlier this month? Apparently it’s not the only Google app that may be getting a makeover, as a new version of Android’s Calendar app has also leaked out.
Images shared by Geek.com show a new Calendar app that sports a flatter look that’s reminiscent of the aforementioned Gmail app. The fretted Calendar app is also said to include random header images for each month that have a parallax scrolling effect when transitioning from one month to another.
The new Calendar app is said to include a focus on social integration as well as a new Daily Agenda feature. The Daily Agenda is reportedly an email that’ll be sent to you that contains all of the meetings and other events that are scheduled for that day, including birthdays that are pulled from Google+ contact data.
It’s said that this leaked version of Calendar is currently undergoing testing at Google. Unfortunately, there’s no word on when it might be rolled out to us regular folk. The app definitely looks and sounds like an improvement over the existing Calendar app that’s built into Android, though, so hopefully it won’t be long before it’s made official. Perhaps Google’s got some app refreshes planned for I/O later this year?
