Samsung is known for including free apps and services with its new hardware. When it introduced the Galaxy Note 10.1 - 2014 Edition, it promised goodies like free Dropbox storage and a subscription to The New York Times, and it's throwing in a free Sketchbook Pro download with the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2. The Galaxy S5 is the next device to include a bundle of free treats, and because it's Samsung's flagship product for 2014, it should come as no surprise that the company is going all out with the swag.
Samsung has posted a page titled "Samsung Galaxy Gifts" on its official Galaxy S5 microsite that details all of the free stuff that it's doling out to consumers that buy its new smartphone. The entire package of free content is pretty varied and includes fitness apps like RunKeeper, cloud storage from Box, game credits for Cut the Rope 2 and much more. Here's what the entire list of goodies consists of:
The entire bundle comes in at a value of around $576, meaning that Galaxy S5 buyers will be getting most of their new phone's worth back in the form of free apps and services. That's a pretty nice deal that could convince some consumers to pick up a Galaxy S5 instead of a competing device.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 is slated to launch in April and will be available on AT&T, Boost Mobile, MetroPCS, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Verizon and Virgin Mobile in the U.S.
