The Nexus 5 officially hit Google's Play Store at the tail end of last week, but if you weren't quick on the draw, your shipping estimate could still be a few weeks off. There's some good news today for those folks that don't feel like waiting until late November or early December to break off a piece of that Nexus 5-flavored KitKat bar, though, as T-Mobile stores may be getting inventory of Google and LG's latest collaboration in just a couple of weeks.
Our amigos at TmoNews have gotten hold of an image of an internal T-Mobile retail planning calendar that shows the Nexus 5 with an all-channel launch date of Nov. 20. T-Mobile has confirmed that it plans to offer the Nexus 5 both in stores and through its website, but the only availability details that the big magenta operator has shared are that the phone will be released "in time for the holidays." Unfortunately, this leaked document doesn't mention how much T-Mo plans to charge for the new Nexus smartphone.
The Nexus 5 is available from the Google Play Store with a starting price of $349.99. New orders of the 16GB model aren't expected to ship out for another three to four weeks, though, while orders of the 32GB model have an only-slightly-better shipping estimate of two to three weeks. That's why the news of an impending T-Mobile Nexus 5 launch is good news for folks that haven't yet pulled the trigger on the new device. It'll also give customers that can't afford to shell out the full price of the Nexus 5 an opportunity to pick the device up, as T-Mo has said that it plans to sell the handset with its Simple Choice and JUMP! plans.
Have you picked up a Nexus 5 yet? If so, what do you think of it so far?
