Verizon is apparently in a pretty update-y mood today, because it's officially detailed new bundles of software for five of its Android-powered handsets.
The first pair of phones that'll soon be receiving a software update is the Motorola Droid Ultra and Droid Maxx. Included with this update are a number of camera enhancements, including an improved viewfinder for more consistent exposure and better automatic white balance. There are also a few other random goodies thrown in, such as a better wireless charging UI, improved 4G LTE performance for faster connections and 50GB of Google Drive storage.
Next in this update-palooza is the Droid Razr HD and Droid Razr Maxx HD. These two handsets are going to be bumped up to software versions 9.18.94.XT926.Verizon.en.US and 9.30.1.XT926.Verizon.en.US, respectively. The updates are of the maintenance variety, packing in improvements such as better connectivity when using an HDMI cable and a tweak that causes the GPS indicator in the status bar to correctly report when location-based apps are launched.
Finally, we come to the LG Intuition. We haven't heard much about Verizon's version of the LG Optimus Vu since its launch a little over a year ago, but it looks like LG and Verizon have decided to show this square smartphone some love by updating it from Ice Cream Sandwich to Jelly Bean.
The Intuition's VS95022B update weighs in at 204.5MB and brings with it a number of changes. Along with a bump up to JB, Intuition users will gain the ability to perform a multi-page share, use bookmark sync and access their dialer and contacts in one unified app. The update also makes some changes to the Intuition's preinstalled apps, removing some, adding others and updating some of the ones that were already there.
Verizon hasn't made announcements about when these updates will begin rolling out. Now that the official support documents have been posted to Verizon's website, though, they're probably getting close. If you're rocking one of the aforementioned Droid phones and would like to check for your device's update manually, you can do so by heading into Settings > About phone > System updates > Download. Meanwhile, LG Intuition users can dive into Settings > About phone > Software updates > Check for updates. Be sure to give us a shout if you find anything!
