We first learned that the Sony Xperia Z1 intends to make itself a home on T-Mobile's shelves thanks to a leaked render that surfaced last month, but just in case you needed a little more evidence of the Z1's plans, the Bluetooth Special Interest Group is happy to oblige.
An entry for an "Xperia Z1 TMO US" has been discovered on the Bluetooth SIG's website, complete with the model number C6916. Unfortunately, there's no visible T-Mobile branding on the render that's included with the listing, but the fact that the words "TMO US" are part of the entry's title certainly seems to back up the rumors that the Z1 is Magenta-bound.
The Xperia Z1 is the follow-up to Sony's Xperia Z, which launched on T-Mobile earlier this year. With a 5-inch 1080p display, quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 3000mAh battery and 20.7-megapixel rear camera, the Z1's got a respectable feature set that could make it worth a look for T-Mobile customers in the market for a high-end Android handset, especially those that consider camera performance to be a high priority. There's no word yet on exactly when the Z1 will grace T-Mo's stores with its presence, but with the emergence of this Bluetooth SIG entry, it seems pretty safe to assume that it'll be arriving on Magenta at some point in the future.
