Jonesing for another Motorola DROID Ultra leak to whet your appetite while we wait for Verizon's July 23 event? We can do that. Today @evleaks posted a new pair of renders that show the DROID Ultra in red, complete with a colored Kevlar backside that wraps around to the front of the phone. The report also claims that Motorola and Verizon's new DROID is slated to launch on August 8, a date that was first attached to the Ultra earlier this month.

Previous members of the Motorola DROID RAZR family have been available in colors other than black, including a white DROID RAZR and blue DROID RAZR HD. However, the color on those devices was found only on the outer edge of the phone, which likely isn't what consumers that wanted a more colorful RAZR were actually hoping for. It looks like that'll be changing with the new DROID Ultra, and it's good to see Moto giving its hardware a more complete paint job for those folks that want a colorful device. The DROID Ultra is also expected to be available in black and white versions.
