It's only been a little over two months since ASUS formally introduced us to the MeMO Pad Smart 10, meaning that it's still a fairly new tablet There's some good news today for anyone that's already opened up their wallet for the device, though, as ASUS has released an Android 4.2 update for the U.S. version of the MeMO Pad Smart 10. The update is now available for as a 510.93MB download from ASUS's website, and after installation, users will be at software version 10.6.1.15 and Android version 4.2.1. According to Android Police, the update is also rolling out over the air.
ASUS doesn't yet have any kind of changelog for this update, but if it's anything like the Android 4.2 update that hit the Transformer Pad TF300 last month, owners of the MeMO Pad Smart 10 can expect multi-user login support and some performance enhancements as well. Whatever's packed in there, I'm sure that MeMO Pad Smart 10 owners are happy to be getting their bump up to the latest version of Android, and it's good to see ASUS achieve a rollout in Q2 2013 like it said that it would. If you've got a MeMO Pad Smart 10 laying around, be sure to update that sucker as soon as possible and then stop by our comments section below to tell us how Android 4.2 is working for you!
