It's been a couple of months since Verizon first announced its plans to offer a 4G LTE-enabled version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, but today the big red carrier has finally spilled the all-important launch and pricing details for its upcoming LTE slate. Verizon announced this morning that its version of the Galaxy Note 10.1 will be available online and in stores on Thursday, March 7. Pricing for the LTE-capable tablet will be set at $599.99 without a contract.

The Verizon-flavored version of the Galaxy Note 10.1 is similar to the Wi-Fi-only model that launched last year, meaning that interested consumers can expect it to include a 10.1-inch 1280x800 touchscreen, 5-megapixel rear and 1.9-megapixel front cameras, 1.4GHz quad-core processor, S Pen stylus, microSD card slot and 16GB storage. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will come preloaded on the unit. Also baked in is support for Verizon's 4G LTE network, which the operator expects will fully cover its 3G footprint by the end of 2013.

While not much has changed between this new Verizon Galaxy Note 10.1 and the Wi-Fi variant from last year, it's still good to see Big Red expanding its selection of cellular-enabled tablets. After all, having more options is always nice, right?
