Looks like Huawei is planning to make another addition to its Ascend line of smartphones that's already included the original Ascend, the Ascend II, the Ascend Q and the Ascend Y. A new image posted to Twitter by @evleaks shows a device referred to as the "Huawei Ascend Plus," a new Android 4.0 smartphone that features TracFone branding on its face. The Ascend Plus is said to feature a screen that's a bit larger that many of the past Ascend models, measuring in at four inches in size. We're also told to expect the Ascend Plus to pack a 5-megapixel rear camera, 1GHz processor, 4GB storage and a microSD card slot.

We've got a basic idea of what will make the Ascend Plus tick thanks to this leak, but details relating to the handset's release and pricing remain up in the air for now. It's also not known exactly which TracFone brand the Ascend Plus will launch on, but StraightTalk Wireless (which already offers the Ascend II and Ascend Y) and Net10 Wireless are both possibilities. While the Ascend Plus may not blow a user's hair back with its raw spec power, it could be a good fit for prepaid customers that want an Android phone with a display that's larger than the screens of most other models offered by StraightTalk and Net10.
