It's been over a year since Motorola said that it planned to allow users to unlock the bootloaders on their devices, but it looks like company is finally starting to make good on its word. A new "Unlock My Device" page has been discovered on Motorola's website, which allows users to officially unlock the bootloader on devices that are supported by the site. Interested users must read over the warnings about bootloader unlocking and also need items such as the Android SDK and the latest Motorola USB drivers installed. Motorola says that there are four steps in the unlocking process and, once it's complete, the device's bootloader will be unlocked and the phone or tablet will be ready for tinkering.

So which devices are supported? As of this writing, the only product on Motorola's "Supported Devices" list is the Photon Q 4G LTE, which the company previously said would be unlockable. The XOOM Wi-Fi, Verizon XOOM and RAZR developer edition are also listed in an "Other Supported Devices" section since they launched with an unlockable bootloader. It's not yet clear when other devices will be added to the list or which ones might make the cut. However, Moto has said on its official blog that it's "hoping to offer an unlockable bootloader" on more devices and that it'll be determining whether or not a product will be unlockable "on a phone by phone basis."
