Hopefully you've still got room on your calendar for September 5 after that Nokia and Microsoft event, because now Motorola and Verizon have announced that they'll be holding a shindig on the same day. The gathering will be kicking off at 2:00 p.m. Eastern, which is just a few hours after the aforementioned Windows Phone event will be taking place. The invitation reads "Motorola. On Display." at the top, but there's no mention of exactly what the two companies may be planning to show at the event.
While we'll have to wait until the afternoon of September 5 to find out precisely what Motorola and Verizon have up their sleeves, the aforementioned "Motorola. On display." line could be a hint that the main focus of the device in question will be its screen. Taking that into consideration, the oft-leaked Motorola DROID RAZR HD and its 720p display seem like a good guess for what's in store for the event. Whether or not that turns out to be "the day's main event" remains to be seen, but you can bet that we'll bring you all of the news from the event as it happens. Are any of you interested in checking out the DROID RAZR HD?
