Yesterday we learned that Sprint employees had started training for the Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE, and now we've got a follow-up in the form of a possible release date for the upcoming slider. According to a source, the Photon Q is currently slated to launch at Sprint on Sunday, August 19. Sprint has yet to mention any kind of official release details, but it did promise when it first introduced the Photon Q that it'd share availability information "within the coming weeks."
It's worth noting that, in a recent blog post about the Photon Q's unlockable bootloader, Motorola mentioned that the handset was due in August. However, the company quickly edited its post to read that the Photon Q is "coming soon." Considering both that and the news that Sprint employee training for the Photon Q is underway, it definitely feels like Moto's new LTE slider is getting close. For those of you interested in the keyboarded Photon Q, August 19 is a date to keep in the back of your mind. We'll pass along more details as we get 'em.
