Just a day after the LG Spectrum began receiving a shiny new update, Verizon has announced a maintenance update for the that device's predecessor, the LG Revolution. Verizon has posted the details of the update over on the Revolution's support page, revealing that the new software weighs in at 20.9MB and will bump the handset to software version VS910ZV9.
This update is a tad smaller than the Spectrum's but it still packs in a few noteworthy tweaks, such as a fix that'll allow picture messages to be sent properly when connected to Wi-Fi. The changelog also mentions the Verizon Remote Diagnostics tool, which we first got wind of back in March and allows Verizon to remotely view a user's device (with his or her permission) to help troubleshoot or demo apps. As usual, Verizon says that this update is "coming soon," but the carrier makes no mention of a precise rollout date. You Revolution-toting folk that want to try and grab this update as soon as possible can grab your handset and head into Menu > Settings > About phone > System updates > Check New to check for it manually.
