The rumor mill has been churning with rumors surrounding the Nokia Lumia 900's launch date and pricing for some time now, but it looks like all of that can finally come to an end this morning. AT&T has confirmed to CNET that the Lumia 900 will be available starting April 8th for $99.99 with a two-year contract. Both the black and cyan models will be available at launch, and customers that want to guarantee their Lumia 900 can begin pre-ordering the Windows Phone handset beginning this Friday, March 30th.
This certainly isn't the first time that a smartphone has been introduced for just $99.99 on contract, but the $100 price point is pretty aggressive for a 4G LTE-enabled flagship device like the Lumia 900. Obviously Nokia and AT&T are trying to push consumers toward the Lumia 900 with such a low on contract price tag, and it'll be interesting to see if people will indeed opt for the $100 Lumia 900 over its iOS and Android counterparts on AT&T. So now that the Lumia 900's availability has finally been confirmed, who's buying? If you're still on the fence, you can check out Aaron's hands-on with the Lumia 900 from CES down below.
UPDATE: Now AT&T has made the news officially official, issuing a press release declaring that the Lumia 900 will indeed be available from April 8th in both black and cyan for $99.99 with a two-year contract. AT&T says that it'll also begin offering a high-gloss white version of the Lumia 900 on April 22nd. You can find an image of the white Lumia 900 as well as AT&T's PR down below.
