The last time Apple posted its quarterly earnings, the company shared sales numbers for its various products and as well as revenue and profits. After the numbers had been totaled, it was revealed that the company has accumulated nearly $100 billion in cash. Many folks have been wondering exactly what Apple is going to do with all of that money, and tomorrow it looks like we'll finally get the answer. Apple has revealed that it'll be holding a conference call tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. EDT to announce what it plans to do with its cash reserves. The Cupertino firm adds that it won't be discussing anything other than cash during the call.
So just what might Apple be planning? No one except Tim Cook and Co. knows for sure, but with as much money as Apple has, there are quite a few possibilities. It'd be interesting if Apple would also shed some light on the initial sales figures of its new iPad during the call, but the firm seems intent on keeping the topic focused on its money. We'll be listening in on the call tomorrow morning as it goes down, so you can bet that we'll let you know if Apple decides to do anything crazy (like snap up some other companies or buy its own country) with its cash. Until then, go ahead and drop your guesses as to what Apple may be planning in the comments below.
