Yesterday Verizon finally put an end to the string of Motorola DROID 4 leaks by finally making the 4G LTE slider officially official. Unfortunately, Big Red left two key details about the device out of its announcement: pricing and availability. We may now have solved the mystery of the DROID 4's price, as a new Verizon minimum advertised price (MAP) list leaked to the folks at Droid-Life show that the D4 has been given a MAP of $249.99. As far as launch information goes, Verizon has said that the DROID 4 will launch in the coming weeks, with the rumor mill pointing toward a possible early February arrival.
As with most leaked information, it's worth mentioning that nothing is official until it's official, and leaked information like this can and often does change before a product actually makes it to market. However, this MAP list does show the correct prices for the DROID RAZR MAXX, purple DROID RAZR, and LG Spectrum, so it's certainly possible that the DROID 4 will debut with a $249.99 price tag in tow. We'll just have to wait for Motorola and Verizon to come forward with the details before we know for sure. When that'll happen is still a mystery, but we've got Aaron's hands-on video with the DROID 4 embedded below to help pass the time until it does.
