Will they or won't they? That's the question surrounding the Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab as of late, as owners of both devices are wondering whether or not they'll be getting a taste of Ice Cream Sandwich. Initially Samsung said that Android 4.0 won't be coming to either product, but then news began circulating that the company may be reevaluating that decision in response to consumer unrest. Now a new report is claiming that instead of an ICS upgrade, Samsung may be prepping a significant "Value Pack" update for the Galaxy S. Korean website daum.net claims that this "Value Pack" would bring with it some ICS features without an actual update to the new OS, including new widgets, improved web browsing and camera tweaks. 

Although I'm sure many Galaxy S owners would prefer to be bumped up to Ice Cream Sandwich, this "Value Pack" could be a good middle ground between an ICS update and nothing at all. As pointed out by Unwired View, this wouldn't be the first time that Samsung has offered such an update, as it provided a similar upgrade for Wave 525 and 533 handsets when they were unable to be updated to Bada 2.0.
