Remember the Express from Sprint? You know, that portrait QWERTY Android phone that's leaked out a couple of times this month? Well today Sprint finally made the Express official, announcing that it's available starting today for $19.99 with a two-year contract and $50 mail-in rebate. As far as specs go, you're looking at a 2.6-inch 240x320 touchscreen, 3.2-megapixel camera, 512MB RAM/ROM, 2GB microSD card, Sprint ID, 1,500mAh battery, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
As you could probably tell from the Express's specs and price point, the new handset is aimed squarely at the entry-level. That's not necessarily a bad thing, though, as it offers a BlackBerry-like experience (even down to the Bold 9900-esque metal band around the sides) on an Android device that's easy on the wallet. Sounds like a formula that's sure to tempt BlackBerry addicts in the market for a new smartphone. We've got the full announcement from Sprint down below.
