Most of the Apple-related legal news that we've gotten as of late has had to do with one of the many legal tiffs between the Cupertino firm and Samsung, but today an International Trade Commission (ITC) judge changed that by issuing a ruling on a complaint filed by HTC against Apple. The judge in question found that there was "no violation" by Apple in any of the four patents asserted by HTC in its complaint. HTC's suit was originally filed with the last year and was centered around a set of patents concerned with power management and dialing functionality of a phone. Today's ruling will be subject to review by a full commission in February of next year.

Neither HTC nor Apple have responded to the ITC judge's ruling today, but we'll be sure to pass along anything we hear. I don't know about you, but there's been so much back and forth between Apple and Samsung lately that I'd almost forgotten that HTC and Apple have a few legal scuffles going on too. Don't fret too much, though, as I'm sure we'll have more Apple-Samsung news for all of you legal eagles out there soon enough...
