When we were tipped to the fact that Samsung Stratosphere cases had begun hitting at least one Best Buy earlier this week, we had a feeling that the 4G LTE slider's launch was getting close. Now it looks like our suspicions were accurate, as an image sent over to Droid-Life has shown that the Stratosphere will be launching on October 13th. There's no mention of pricing in the leak, but we do get another confirmation of the handset's specs, which include a 4-inch 800x480 Super AMOLED display, 1GHz processor, 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing shooter, and Verizon 4G LTE connectivity.
As if all of that wasn't enough, the Stratosphere's full user guide has also made its way online ahead of the phone's launch. If you need a way to help pass the time until next Thursday, you can download the manual right here.
As you could probably tell by those specs mentioned above and the ones listed in this previous Stratosphere leak, Samsung and Verizon's new 4G handset isn't exactly going to melt your face off with its feature set. Thanks to its mid-range spec list, though, the Stratosphere is expected to be cheaper than something like the DROID Bionic, and it's always good to see more affordable LTE products coming to market. Plus, the Stratosphere's got a physical keyboard, which is sure to please all more than a few messaging addicts out there. Any of you thinking about blasting out of your local Verizon store with a Samsung Stratosphere next week?
