At the tail end of last month, HTC announced that both the DROID Incredible and ThunderBolt would be updated to Android 2.3 sometime in September. Incredible owners started getting their taste of Gingerbread around a week later, but so far the TBolters out there have gotten bupkis. Now that there are just four days left in September, ThunderBolt users are (understandably) starting to get a little antsy, wondering if their update will miss its projected September arrival. Worry not, TBolt folk, as HTC today confirmed via its official Twitter account that the ThunderBolt's update is "still scheduled for this month."
So there you have it, ThunderBolt faithful. HTC may not have given up a concrete rollout date like we would've liked, but at least we know that the new software is still slated to hit sometime in the next four days. We'll be sure to pass along any new info as we get it. Until then, you keep hammering away on that Software Update button, ThunderBolt owners.
