Windows Phone users on AT&T have already had a pretty good month with the news that a trio of new WP7.5 devices are coming soon and confirmation that all of AT&T's existing handsets would be updated to Mango in the fall. September may get just a tad better for fans of Microsoft's mobile OS before the month wraps up, though, if a report from WPCentral holds true. According to the site's sources, AT&T is planning to release the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango update for the HTC Surround, LG Quantum, and some Samsung Focus devices on September 27th. Apparently select Focus owners may have to wait until the end of October for their taste of Mango, depending on which hardware version they've got: revision 1.3 owners will get the update on September 27th, revision 1.4 users have to wait until next month. If you're a Focus user, you can find your revision number by checking the label inside your device's battery compartment. Finally, the HTC HD7S Mango update is expected to hit in early to mid-October.
Not a bad way to begin wrapping up your work week, right AT&T folk? Obviously this news isn't official until we hear directly from AT&T/Microsoft/the manufacturers on the matter, but we'll be sure to pass the details along as we get them. Until then, maybe you should start reminiscing about all of the good times that you and NoDo have had together.
UPDATE: The folks at BGR just shared a leaked AT&T document showing that Mango will indeed begin rolling out to the HTC Surround, Samsung Focus, and LG Quantum on Tuesday. Check it out below.
