T-Mobile recently fleshed out its low- to mid-range Android lineup with devices like Samsung's Exhibit 4G and Gravity Smart, and today it was announced that HTC will soon add its own affordable Android to T-Mobile's roster. The HTC Wildfire S will be hitting T-Mobile on August 3rd and will sport a price tag of $79.99 after a two-year contract and $50 mail-in rebate.
So what kind of specs can you expect for your hard-earned $80? Well, the Wildfire S is packing a 3.2-inch 320x480 display, 600MHz processor, 5-megapixel camera, and Android 2.3. Certainly nothing that'll melt your face or the faces of those around you, but it's good to see Gingerbread included out of the box. For those of you considering picking up the Wildfire S, you can check out Aaron's hands-on with the European model — which is largely the same as T-Mo's version — below.
