Details about the Motorola DROID 3 have slowly been trickling out over the past couple of months, and today another tidbit of info has come out that may not sit well with some of you out there. The folks at Droid-Life have just posted a screenshot showing that the DROID 3 has made an appearance in Verizon's systems, but, as you can see in the screenshot above, the handset is said to be running Froyo. This leak goes against a previous Nenamark report that showed the DROID 3 was running Android 2.3.3.
Considering how hotly anticipated the DROID 3 is, it'd be kind of a surprise to see Moto and Verizon load Froyo onto the device when it arrives. Speaking of the D3's arrival, Droid-Life has heard that a possibility of a June launch for the handset is being kicked around at Big Red, corroborating a rumor from earlier this month. What do you all think of the possibility of the DROID 3 packing Froyo at launch? Would it be a deal breaker?
