So today Verizon announced the Motorola DROID X2, explaining that it will be available online tomorrow and in-stores on May 26th. If you'd rather not wait that long — and why would you? — it looks like you may be able to get your paws on a real-life X2 as soon as tomorrow. According to reports from Droid-Life and Android Central, some stores, already have the DROID X2 in stock and have been given the go-ahead to sell the devices tomorrow rather than waiting until the 26th rolls around.
It seems kind of strange that Verizon would announce that the DX2 will be going on sale on the 26th and then let stores begin selling it a full week before then, but hey, we're not ones to complain about getting access to a new phone earlier than expected. If you'd like to be playing with a DROID X2 at this time tomorrow, you'd be wise to call up a nearby retailer tomorrow and see if the X2 is available.
