Over the weekend, we got an idea of exactly how much Toshiba's Android-powered tablet may cost when it finally launches, with the base 8GB model getting slapped with a $450 price tag. Now we may finally have an actual name for the slate, too. Last week, Toshiba filed for the trademark to the name "Thrive," indicating that it intended to use the moniker for a "tablet computer." The clues don't end there, though, as the Tosh has been spending some of its hard-earned dollars on some domain names that feature the word Thrive, including ToshibaThrive.com, ThriveToshiba.com, ThriveTablet.com, and TabletThrive.com.
Of course, this shouldn't be taken as confirmation that Toshiba has settled on the name Thrive for its tablet, but things certainly are looking that way. It certainly sounds less codename-y than the possible titles we've heard in the past, and considering that we've already seen the slate appear on the sites of three different retailers, you'd think that Toshiba would have to settle on an official product name pretty soon. How does the name Thrive sound to all of you?
