Sure, the HTC EVO 3D is a pretty impressive little (or big) handset, but for those of us that prefer a more vanilla Android experience, the Nexus S 4G was the star of CTIA last month. Sprint said that their version of the Nexus S would be available sometime this spring, but thanks to a photo sent over to the folks at Android Central, we may have a more concrete date to look forward to. As you can see in the document up above, the WiMAX-ready Nexus could be arriving on your local Sprint store's shelves as soon as April 18th.
The Nexus S 4G may not be a completely new piece of hardware or feature a glasses-free 3D screen like the EVO 3D, but the Nexus does have both WiMAX and pure, unadulterated Gingerbread going for it. Plus, I'm sure a few folks are just happy to see a Nexus device on Sprint after the Nexus One was supposed to hit the Now Network but ultimately got the axe. What do you all think of the Nexus S 4G? Anyone planning on picking one up?
UPDATE: It sounds like this may just be a soft launch meant for training, with an actual launch coming a week or two later, possibly on April 24th.
