A year ago, phones with 4.3-inch displays were relatively new and still seemed pretty gigantic to us. Now that screen size is becoming old-hat, and we're seeing manufacturers push the envelope further, like Samsung did with the 4.5-inch Infuse 4G. Now Acer has taken things a step further with the ICONIA SMART, an Android smartphone with a 4.8-inch, 1024X480 display and 21:9 aspect ratio. Acer said that by giving a phone such a large display, it hopes to bring "the capabilities of a tablet in a smartphone format." Other specs of the ICONIA SMART include a 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255-1 CPU, 8 megapixel camera with LED flash and 720p video capture, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, 512MB ROM and RAM, 8GB built-in storage, and Gingerbread. The ICONIA SMART will reportedly be launching in Europe in April/May and the U.S. in June/July.
When the Infuse 4G was announced, several of you seemed pretty into the idea of a 4.5-inch screen. The question is, how do you feel about a 4.8-inch display?
