So the Dell Streak 7 could very well be launching as soon as February 2nd, but the bigger question in a lot of minds is just how much the thing is going to cost. The eagle-eyed folks from Streak Smart may very well have found the Streak 7's final price thanks to the fine print on the device's T-Mobile page. After squinting to read the tiny font, you can see that that the page mentions a down payment of $82.50 along with three monthly payments of $82.50, bringing the total up to $330. The reason for the monthly payment system is that it's is likely meant for T-Mobile's Equipment Installment plan.
Back when the Galaxy Tab launched on T-Mobile last November, it originally cost $400 on contract, so $330 for a 4G-ready Dell Streak 7 seems like a pretty good deal, even if it won't be running Honeycomb initially. If the Streak 7 does end up launching on the second day of February, we should be hearing more official info soon, so stay tuned. Would any of you consider picking up a Streak 7, or are you all waiting for devices like the XOOM and G-Slate?
UPDATE: T-Mobile has reached out to us about the Streak 7's alleged pricing, explaining that it was a "technical error" and that it has no relevance to the actual price. The Streak 7 is going to be available "in the coming weeks," so pricing and launch info should be made available in the near future.
