Verizon's Palm Pre 2 was supposed to arrive some time in the fourth quarter of 2010 according to a document leaked early last month. Today is the last day of 2010, so I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the Pre 2 won't arrive before the year is up. However, a new screenshot leaked to the folks of PreCentral shows that the Verizon Pre 2 may actually be arriving some time soon. As you can see above, an image from Best Buy's inventory system shows that Big Red's version of the Pre 2 has made its arrival in the database. Unfortunately, there's no indication as to when Palm's latest hardware will actually arrive on Verizon's airwaves.
It's kind of tough to predict when Verizon's Pre 2 will finally launch, and if you've been eagerly anticipating the device like some of us, it may seem like it'll never actually come. Still, this leak goes to show that the CDMA Pre 2 is still alive and well, and hopefully it's an indication that Best Buy and Verizon are gearing up to launch the Pre 2 some time early in the New Year. Considering that the Pre Plus and Pixi Plus launched on Verizon's network at the end of January 2010, the Verizon Pre 2 is certainly long overdue.
