The folks in Denver, Colo. have been enjoying Verizon LTE for a few days now, and soon they'll have another option to fulfill their 4G needs. Today Sprint rep Stephanie Vinge tweeted that WiMAX will officially be going live in Colorado's state capital on December 19th. If you live in the area and just can't wait until the 19th, though, Vinge said that the signal is unofficially live right this second.
We recently heard that Verizon plans to light up some new markets with LTE every month, so it's good to see Sprint continue to expand and keep the 4G race going strong. Los Angeles was lit up with WiMAX earlier this month and San Francisco will be getting their own 4G coverage from Sprint later this month, so it makes you wonder which area will be blanketed in WiMAX goodness next. Where does Sprint still need to flip the 4G switch?
